DO Recruitment are delighted to be a recruitment partner for a very successful Construction business based in Derbyshire. They are one of the most respected and recognised brands in its sector and they now seek to appoint an enthusiastic Accounts Assistant to join their Head Office team.
Roles and responsibilities:
- Inputting of purchase ledger invoices.
- Setting up of subcontractor orders.
- The preparation of ‘requested’ subcontractor cheques ready for issue.
- Preparation of purchase ledge cheques ready for issuing.
- Issue cash-flow forecast as required.
- Assist with the calculations of timesheets and the processing of the weekly payroll.
- Subcontractor cheque run.
- Purchase ledger cheque run.
- Petty cash analysis.
- Balancing of purchase ledger.
- Balancing of subcontractor ledger.
- Balancing of cost and nominal ledger.
- Bank reconciliation.
- Preparing ‘purchase ledger payment due’ reports.
- Preparing Journals.
- Filing and archiving.
- Dealing with telephone calls, emails and reminders.
- Carry out other duties that the Company reasonably requests.
Ideal Candidate:
- AAT Qualified or CIMA/ACCA part-qualified
- Attention to detail in a fast-paced, challenging environment
- Intermediate Excel skills (Look Ups, Pivot Tables etc.)
